How this tool works
Portfolio: track your crypto holdings in one place

The Portfolio page is where you keep your own crypto holdings and see what they are worth, what you paid and how risky the mix is. You add buys and sells, and the page works out value, gain or loss and a position-weighted risk score from our Altcoin Rules model. It is a tracker, not a forecast or advice. Tracking your own coins is open to members; live price updates, full founder portfolios, alerts and the stress test are Premium.

01What is the Portfolio page?
It is your crypto book-keeping in one place. You enter the coins you hold by adding transactions: what you bought or sold, how much, and at what price (a CSV import is also available). The page then shows your positions, what they are worth now, and how much you are up or down.
The risk gauge on the page uses the Altcoin Rules model, so you can look at your own bag instead of a generic coin list. You can keep up to 12 separate portfolios, for example one per wallet or strategy. It does not trade for you and it does not connect to your exchange; you enter the data yourself.
02What do the five tabs do?
The page is split into five tabs. The first is yours, the rest put your holdings next to other views.
The founder portfolios are the positions the platform founders publish on the Founders tab. They are shown for transparency, not as a recommendation to copy anything.
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Mine | Your own holdings, value, gain or loss, closed positions and risk score |
| Founders | The published positions of the platform founders |
| Moves | Recent changes the founders made to their positions |
| Compare | Your holdings side by side with a founder portfolio, showing where you are over- or under-allocated |
| Scenarios | A what-if tool that replays preset coin mixes from a start date you choose |
03How are value, gain and loss calculated?
Value is the amount of each coin you hold times its current price. Your cost is built from the transactions you entered. The difference between the two is your unrealised gain or loss, meaning the result on coins you still hold. A sale locks in a realised result. See the glossary entries on unrealised profit and loss and cost basis for the definitions.
When you sell part of a position, the page has to decide which of your earlier buys that sale counts against. That choice is the cost basis method. The default is FIFO (first in, first out). You can switch to LIFO (last in, first out), HIFO (highest cost first) or Specific ID, where you pick the lot on each sale and the page falls back to FIFO for any sale where you pick none. The method changes how your gain or loss is split up, so check which one fits your own situation.
04What is the risk score?
The risk gauge averages the Altcoin Rules score of your coins, weighted by how big each position is. The score runs from 0 to 100 and is grouped into five bands: Very Low (under 20), Low (20 to 39), Neutral (40 to 59), High (60 to 79) and Very High (80 and above). A higher number means the model reads that coin as riskier.
It only counts coins that have a score. Stablecoins, delisted holdings and unscored coins are left out, and the gauge shows how many positions and what share of your portfolio value it covers, plus the date of the oldest score used. So it is a view of the scored part of your bag, not a full measure of portfolio risk. The page also shows your highest and lowest scored positions, the share of scored value with a score of 60 or more, and the share under 40.
05What are the limits?
Read the numbers with these in mind.
You enter the data
The page is only as accurate as the transactions you add. Missing or wrong entries give a wrong cost and a wrong gain or loss.
Prices come from a third-party feed
Coin prices are fetched from outside data providers. A price can be delayed, and a delisted coin may have no current price.
The risk score covers part of the picture
It is a model score on scored coins only, and it says nothing about your taxes, your goals or your total wealth.
Not advice
Nothing on the page tells you to buy or sell. The founder portfolios are shown for transparency and are not a recommendation.
06An example of use
A made-up example. An investor holds three coins and adds their buys to the Mine tab. The risk gauge shows that one coin makes up most of the value and also has the highest score. That does not say what to do. It does show where the weight sits, which is a fair prompt to read about portfolio concentration and to think about whether that is on purpose.
Later the investor opens the Compare tab to see how their mix differs from a founder portfolio, and the Altcoin Rules page to look at one coin in more detail. If the portfolio has fallen sharply, our guide on a portfolio down 40 percent walks through the questions worth asking first.
07What is free and what is Premium?
Tracking your own holdings on the Mine tab is open to members, including the cost basis methods and the risk gauge. On the Founders tab, free members see only a few founder positions (at least one per founder) and the rest is locked, and the entry price of the visible positions is hidden. Premium shows all founder positions in full.
Premium also adds live price updates (free members get prices refreshed about once a minute instead of the live stream), take-profit and stop-loss alerts per position, the rebalance plan on the Compare tab, and the Bear Market Stress Test, which runs a Bitcoin downside scenario against your holdings (free members can only preview it). The Moves and Compare tabs are locked for free members by default; Moves shows only a short preview of results. On the Scenarios tab, four preset mixes are free, while two more presets and a replay of your own portfolio are Premium. These free settings can be changed by the team, so see the pricing page for what is included today.
08Frequently asked questions
Is the Portfolio page free?
Tracking your own holdings is open to members. Live price updates, all founder positions, alerts, the rebalance plan and the stress test are Premium. The pricing page lists what is included today.
Does it connect to my exchange or wallet?
No. You add your own transactions by hand, or import a CSV: what you bought or sold, how much and at what price. The page works from those entries.
Which cost basis methods are supported?
FIFO, LIFO, HIFO and Specific ID. FIFO is the default. The method decides which earlier buy a sale counts against, which changes how your gain or loss is split.
What does the risk score in my portfolio mean?
It is the Altcoin Rules score of your coins, averaged and weighted by position size, on a 0 to 100 scale. Higher means riskier by that model. It leaves out stablecoins, delisted holdings and coins without a score.
Is the Portfolio page financial advice?
No. It is a tracking and information tool. It does not tell you what to buy or sell, and the founder portfolios are shown for transparency, not as a recommendation.
