Ask Menno is an AI chat assistant inside Alpha Factory. You type a question about markets, macro or investing, and it answers in the style of Menno's framework, using platform data and, for time-sensitive questions, an optional live web search. It is an AI, not Menno himself, it can be wrong, and it is not financial advice. Free and Premium members both get a daily question allowance, and Premium gets a higher one.

01What is Ask Menno?

Ask Menno is a chat assistant for Alpha Factory members. You write a question, and an AI model answers it. The page describes it as an assistant trained on Menno's insights, so it leans on his way of thinking about markets, macro and risk.

It is not Menno typing back. It is software that is given a written version of his framework plus platform data, and it writes new sentences each time. Treat its answer as a starting point for your own research, the same way you would treat any AI answer. A sister assistant, Ask Kevin, works the same way with a macro-focused framework.

02How do you use it?

Open the chat, pick one of the suggested questions or type your own (up to 2,000 characters). The suggestions cover topics such as the current market view, how manufacturing data relates to crypto, risk management and when to take profits.

You can also ask for a chart. The assistant can draw a chart inside the chat, but only from data the platform hands it: the live Fear & Greed and Risk Wave readings, a portfolio allocation, 24-hour price changes for tracked coins, and a 7-day price history for a coin. If it has no exact data for what you asked, it skips the chart and says so. If you attach a screenshot (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB), it can look at the image as part of the question. Past chats are listed under History, so you can reopen an earlier thread.

Ask in plain words

Short, specific questions work best. Name the coin or topic you care about.

Ask for a chart

Say what you want to see, such as a coin's last 7 days. It can only chart data it has been given.

Attach an image

Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP screenshot under 5 MB and ask about it.

Reopen old chats

History lists your recent threads so you can continue where you stopped.

03Where do the answers come from?

Each answer is built from several parts. First, the assistant's own instructions, which describe the persona and its framework. Second, data from the platform, such as recent prices and market readings like the Fear & Greed Index and Risk Wave. Third, when it applies, details from your own Alpha Factory account, such as your holdings, DCA plan or watchlist if you have saved them, so the answer can fit your situation.

For questions that are time-sensitive, such as what happened today or the latest on a coin, the app can run one live web search first. The answer then shows the sources it used as a list under the reply. A search is not run when you attach an image, and if nothing useful comes back, the assistant answers without it and has to rely on what it was trained on, which can be out of date.

04What does it remember about you?

After an exchange, the app can pick out facts you said about yourself and store them as memory. The categories in the code are preferences, portfolio goals, risk profile, trading style and past advice. The assistant then uses that memory in later chats so you do not have to repeat yourself.

You can look at what is stored in the memory panel ("What I know about you") and delete single items or all of them there. The Reset Memory button does the same in one step: it clears the facts this assistant remembers about you (including facts shared between the assistants), while your past conversations stay in History and your usage count stays the same.

05What are the limits?

An AI copilot is useful for thinking out loud and for explaining ideas. It is a poor source of certainty. Keep these limits in mind.

It can be wrong

AI models sometimes state things that sound sure but are false, including numbers and dates. Check anything you plan to act on.

It is not Menno

It follows a written description of his framework. It does not read his mind or know his current thoughts beyond what is in the instructions and data it is given.

Data can be missing or old

Without a live search, it works from training and the platform data it received. Fast-moving news can be missed.

Not financial advice

Nothing it says is a recommendation to buy or sell. Decisions and risk stay with you.

06An example of use

A made-up example. A member asks, "How should I think about risk when everything is going up?" The assistant explains the general idea of sizing positions and checking risk indicators, and may point to the risk management basics. The member then asks for a 7-day price chart of a coin to see the recent move.

The member should still check the chart's numbers against a trusted price source and decide on their own. If they are unsure about the framework, the crypto investing system guide lays out the steps in plain words.

07What is free and what is Premium?

Ask Menno is part of the member area, so you need an account to use it. It is not locked behind Premium: free and Premium members both get a daily question allowance, and Premium gets a higher one. The exact numbers are set in the admin settings and shown inside the chat as your remaining questions, so check the counter there for today's figure.

For free members the allowance counts over a rolling 24 hours, and the count is shared across the Ask assistants. Premium members are counted per assistant per day. When you run out, the chat tells you and points to Premium. See the pricing page for what is included today.

08Frequently asked questions

Is Ask Menno really Menno?

No. It is an AI assistant built on a written version of Menno's framework and platform data. It writes new answers each time and can make mistakes.

How many questions can I ask per day?

It depends on your plan and on settings that can change. Free and Premium members both have a daily allowance, Premium has a higher one, and the chat shows how many questions you have left.

Does Ask Menno give financial advice?

No. It is for education and orientation. Nothing it says is a recommendation to buy or sell, and you are responsible for your own decisions.

Does it remember my previous chats?

It can store facts you shared about yourself, such as your risk profile or goals, and use them in later chats. You can view and delete these in the memory panel.

Can it look up current news?

For time-sensitive questions the app can run a live web search and show the sources under the answer. If that is not available, the answer relies on older training data.
